Dr. Marc Bourcier

Dr. Bourcier’s interest in innovation is deeply grounded in research. Since 1999, he has participated in over 90 clinical studies, most of which were aimed at understanding and treating psoriasis. “I would say 60% of my time in consultation is devoted to psoriasis patients. In my work, I have the honor and privilege to help patients who are suffering from moderate to severe psoriasis, and sometimes, we can completely change their quality of life. I could retire, but I love my work. At the end of the day, I do not have to look hard to find meaning in what I do.”

In addition of being named “Dermatologist of the Year 2013” by the CSPA at the Canadian Dermatology Association conference, in June 2014, Dr. Bourcier has been a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology since 1983 as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is an Assistant Professor in clinical teaching at the Faculty of Medicine of the Sherbrooke University.

Why I joined Psoriasis Busters:

“Whatever will truly help patients is of interest to me, and that is why I am glad to take part in the Psoriasis Busters project. There is a lot of information out there, but it becomes difficult to know what is relevant and what is not. We really hope we will help people find the resources they need to get better.”
